I am the author of Art after Liberalism, a study of aesthetics and political geography, published in 2022 by Columbia Books on Architecture & the City and Columbia University Press. My essays appear in Afterimage, ASAP/Journal, Social Text, Texte zur Kunst, Third Text, X-TRA, and Log (special issue: ‘Working Queer’), among other publications. I am co-editor, with Jason Fox, of World Records, vol. 4: ‘In the Presence of Others'  and, since 2021, have been a contributing editor of the Millennium Film Journal. I hold a PhD from the City University of New York and was a visiting professor at Stanford University, the Pratt Institute, and the San Francisco Art Institute. I now teach in the History of Art & Visual Culture Program at California College of the Arts.
